The restaurant is very good, however the wine prices are outrageous, I think they're five times higher! It's a real shame, you feel ripped off.

I've known this place since the 80s, including a communion in '95 and many other celebrations in the main hall. What a change it has been! What a beautiful, warm restaurant with a cozy atmosphere; I love it. The waitresses are smiling, attentive, and above all, professional. The dish I ordered was good: guinea fowl with old-fashioned mustard sauce and buwespazles (homemade, I have serious doubts—too soft, too yellow, pasty; they come straight from a saucepan and are then rolled up). It cost €25.60, which is still quite expensive. I can only recommend it, but I wouldn't make it my regular spot.

In my opinion, the best restaurant in the area. Very friendly service! You'll find some truly special delicacies here, as well as incredibly delicious French home cooking. The wine list, with its unbelievable selection, is second to none. I've always been there for lunch, but this was my first time there in the evening. It certainly won't be the last! When the restaurant is fully booked, the noise level can be quite high. A little tip for wine lovers: Café de la Paix is ​​also easily accessible on foot from the Saarbrücken tram stop via the Freundschaftsbrücke (Friendship Bridge).

Best restaurant for miles around. Not exactly cheap, but everything was perfect during our visit and the overall experience was worth every penny.

The food was excellent, the ambiance okay, the service great, but the prices were really expensive. We first went there in spring 2024, were very lucky to get a table, and ordered and received the menu de jour. The food was fantastic, regional cuisine!! Back then, we paid around €50 for two people, including various drinks!!! On our last visit, we paid twice as much for roughly the same thing, and there was no menu available anymore!!! Far too expensive for lunch, in my opinion!! We noticed that there were many Germans there and fewer locals. Could the high prices and the lack of a set menu deter them? We were really looking forward to this restaurant, but these very high lunch prices put us off. Despite the excellent quality of the food, we're not paying that much again! You can find better and cheaper options with high quality elsewhere in France. We've removed the restaurant from our list; unfortunately, despite the very good food, it's simply too expensive!

We were completely won over by this family-run establishment! A warm welcome, simply excellent dishes... that took us right back to our childhood—so simple, so flavorful, so generous, so authentic, without any artifice! We loved it!! The staff were present, attentive, and responsive! Natural wines and equally natural products 🥰 I highly recommend stopping by and trying these dishes, these recipes from our grandmothers... these recipes that transport us back to childhood 😍

A visit to this restaurant is definitely worth it! The food was fantastic and the service very friendly and attentive.
