This is one of those restaurants where I hesitate before reviewing it. I'd really like to keep it a secret for myself and our friends. On the other hand, the food is so delicious, and we don't eat out often enough to not spread the word. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, but right on the water and by the lock. The style is typical of the region, and there's no dress code. It's wheelchair accessible, and there's parking right in front. Water for dogs is provided, as is the excellent wine selection. The service is incredibly friendly, and the language barrier is minimal. We each ordered a set menu and enjoyed it immensely. Heike fell in love with the beef carpaccio, and the chef and owner perfectly captured my taste. The prices are more than reasonable for the quality. The big question for our next visit: Do we order the delicious dishes again, or do we try other delicacies? We absolutely love it there; the 35 km drive is no problem at all.

Despite the nearby highway, this restaurant is in a relatively quiet location and features a terrace. Classic, good cuisine.

Delicious French cuisine right on the Saar River and the border. Easily accessible by bike. The interior isn't quite my style, but that's a matter of taste. 🙃

A truly French restaurant, highly recommended, whether you're dining alone or in a group of any size. The food and wine are of superb quality – we absolutely must go back. Lunch and dinner are both wonderful.
