28/08/2026: This is one of those restaurants where I hesitate before reviewing it. I'd really like to keep it a secret for myself and our friends.
On the other hand, the food is so delicious, and we don't eat out often enough to not spread the word.
The restaurant is a bit out of the way, but right on the water and by the lock. The style is typical of the region, and there's no dress code. It's wheelchair accessible, and there's parking right in front. Water for dogs is provided, as is the excellent wine selection. The service is incredibly friendly, and the language barrier is minimal.
We each ordered a set menu and enjoyed it immensely. Heike fell in love with the beef carpaccio, and the chef and owner perfectly captured my taste. The prices are more than reasonable for the quality.
The big question for our next visit: Do we order the delicious dishes again, or do we try other delicacies? We absolutely love it there; the 35 km drive is no problem at all.

06/09/2026: For me, this is one of the worst kebab places in the area: zero portions, dry meat, no sauce, absolutely nothing about it... and the service is seriously lacking, plus they won't be accepting cards in 2026... In short, it's changed a lot; it wasn't like this 10 years ago.

06/09/2026: We often order pizza, it's good, the owner (pizzaiolo) is friendly, the only problem (for me) is that I find the crust a little too thick
12/08/2026: I never thought it was possible to make a pizza this bad. And yet, it was. The dough had the consistency and taste of cardboard, the tomato sauce was a clear, sour-tasting soup, and the ingredients were of very poor quality. We ordered a four-cheese pizza and a country-style pizza; the bacon bits were awful, the blue cheese was dry and harsh, and the Gruyère-type cheese, simply called "cheese" on the menu, was anything but. The crust and color were like cornflakes, the taste was dreadful—in short, an industrially produced grated cheese is an insult.
In short, even at €10 a pizza, avoid it! It's an assembly of low-grade, industrial products, not worthy of being called pizza, let alone being eaten.

11/07/2026: A disappointing experience. The waitress's attitude was inappropriate and unprofessional. She was far too present at our table, which was quite awkward. Furthermore, I felt she only smiled at and paid attention to my companion, which made me uncomfortable. Service should be pleasant and respectful to all customers, without giving that kind of impression. Unfortunately, this experience does not make me want to return.
17/06/2026: The setting of this inn is pleasant, but the service is sorely lacking due to a young waitress who treats her workplace like a dating site. Her provocative attitude and complete lack of restraint and professionalism towards customers are truly appalling. Her inappropriate behavior completely ruins the friendly atmosphere of the establishment. It's a real shame for the inn's reputation; we won't be returning.
1
