Enjoyed a tasty omelette, frites and salad sitting outside the chateau d’Amboise. Great little cafe with v efficient, polite & pleasant staff. Good location and decent food.

Just a quick note to thank the kind waiter (or manager, I'm not entirely sure) for the unusual gesture of exchanging cash for a credit card after a problem at another establishment! I highly recommend this place; it also has a great atmosphere because everyone is smiling, which is very pleasant.

26/07/2026: The view of the castle was a big draw (especially since we were supposed to eat at 11:45 and it was the only crêperie open). The galettes were okay, even good considering how touristy the place was. We ordered a savory buckwheat crêpe (or "complète") and a goat cheese and honey crêpe (or "chèvre miel"), and we definitely recommend the savory buckwheat crêpe. I don't eat gluten, so I asked to exchange the crêpe included in the set menu for a savory buckwheat crêpe with the same filling. We were charged extra for this, which is the first time I've ever experienced that in a crêperie.
