Enjoyed a tasty omelette, frites and salad sitting outside the chateau d’Amboise. Great little cafe with v efficient, polite & pleasant staff. Good location and decent food.

Just a quick note to thank the kind waiter (or manager, I'm not entirely sure) for the unusual gesture of exchanging cash for a credit card after a problem at another establishment! I highly recommend this place; it also has a great atmosphere because everyone is smiling, which is very pleasant.

21/07/2026: A cool, shaded terrace. Delicious meal, the desserts were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Our grandchildren loved it!
19/07/2026: Honestly my only regret is that I found them the day I left. Great food (like the really good French style) and great people. Charming atmosphere Recommend.

L'AMBOISERIE

18/08/2026: Terrace setting was nice and no issue with service. Adult food was fine, good value. They had no steak hache and replacement was chicken breast and potatoes with no sauce or any vegetables which wasn't great.
14/08/2026: Remember to remove the glasses after the aperitif to make room on the tables.
