The meal was decent, traditional. We expected better. The atmosphere was subdued, with cloth tablecloths and napkins, but there was a disconnect between the service and the expected level of quality. The service and the food were typical of a brasserie (which is fine if you know that beforehand), and the decor, ambiance, and price suggested a more elaborate meal. Disappointed. We tried other restaurants afterward that were more in line with our budget. But overall, it was acceptable.

Exceptional setting, very warm welcome. A head waiter who served us the best wines of the region. I highly recommend it.

Good food. We have eaten there several times already. The only thing is, the Wi-Fi doesn't work at all.

Excellent experience: my husband and I had lunch on a Wednesday, we opted for the Burgundy menu and a glass of wine, everything was delicious, the setting is beautiful and the staff very professional and attentive, it is a good place to taste the specialties of the region.

While passing through Beaune, we had the pleasure of having lunch at this restaurant, whose dining room is located in a cellar in the basement. The welcome was warm and the staff professional and friendly. The menu was varied and the dishes delicious. The wine list was also extensive. We had a very enjoyable time at this restaurant.

Le Maufoux

14/10/2026: I highly recommend it; everything is there for a wonderful evening. A delightful culinary discovery awaits.
12/10/2026: A feeling of abandonment pervades this isolated part of the restaurant, occasionally visited by the waitress... when she has the time, and especially for customers who have been put off by her initial rigidity... B. Libert

Le Bistrot Bourguignon

26/07/2026: For us, it was farm-raised pork belly, Beaune ribs, and lemon meringue pie. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We'll be back.
24/07/2026: Is boring local without “local charm”. The food is basic Burgundy dishes of reasonable quality. The meat is dry and boring in Boeuf Bourguignon which is the “claim to fame”.
