An idyllic location, a fantastic welcome. Exceptional staff. A stunning wine cellar... Breathtaking explanations. In short, all for €12 per night including the tourist tax for campervans. We highly recommend it.

A visit and tasting at this beautiful vineyard in the heart of Blaye. Nathalie gave us a fascinating presentation on the history of the château, the region, and the wines of Blaye. The wines we tasted were excellent. Bonus: the citadel is within walking distance of the château.

Pitch your campsite inside the Marquis de Vauban's castle and enjoy this idyllic setting. For €12 for 2 people, you'll receive a complimentary aperitif and all the services for your campervan. The staff is very welcoming, and you'll learn all about the history of the nearby Vauban citadel, whether you're exploring on foot or by bike.

We spent two nights there and tried the winemaker's lunch and guided tour. We received a very warm welcome from the owners and the entire team...and an excellent meal. Thank you all for your good humor...we'll be back!

A must-see wine tourism stop in Blaye and the Blaye region, the Château Marquis de Vauban introduces you to the history of this place, but above all, it opens the doors to knowledge about the richness of a terroir, a grape variety, a vineyard, and wine. The lunch is of high quality, and the generous selection of wines served by quality reminds you of the winemaking presentations during the tour. Excellent service, reasonable prices, and a very knowledgeable host.

Tour of the cellars with all its history. Tour of the citadel by little train. Perfect food and wine pairings. The lamb shanks were to die for. The exceptional wines. The free aperitif at 5:30 p.m. afterwards is a nice bonus. "Box" purchased with a bottle of wine. I highly recommend this place. The service was perfect. All the staff are pleasant and smiling.
