Absolutely fantastic!!! We came with friends. It was great. We sat on the terrace but in the shade of the parasols. The waitress was lovely.

We went there by chance, on the recommendation of the hotel reception.
KAKO is simply superb.
We ate the Padrón squid, trout, hake, confit cod, and a little cheese… everything was perfect, fresh, local, and superbly prepared. The welcome from Nicolas, Aymeric, and Janne was outstanding.
When we're in the area again, we won't hesitate… we'll definitely go back.
We highly recommend it… go there… you won't be disappointed.

A Sunday evening in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, a delightful discovery: this warm and welcoming family restaurant. Both the waitress and the waiter serve you delicious, carefully prepared, and flavorful Basque cuisine with a smile. All this in a very pleasant setting, decorated in warm colors (beautiful portraits of local figures adorn the walls and doors)... and right in the heart of town, just steps from the market.

Thank you to everyone at the restaurant for the excellent meal and the warm atmosphere. Kudos to Jean-Paul and Loulou for their professionalism and kindness. Special mention to the bartender, a rising star with her Gin and Tonics! She was also an excellent wine advisor. And congratulations to the kitchen staff—it was sumptuous!

Everything is great at this restaurant. Excellent and generous dishes. Nice wine list!
The welcome and staff are perfectly professional. I highly recommend it, and it's very close to the market halls.

We visited this "Basque Bistro" in January and June 2025.
I agree with the previous comment. Warm welcome, excellent cuisine that some chefs should take inspiration from... Generous cuisine!
