The restaurant excels in its cuisine, ambiance, and service, thanks to its authenticity. It even inspired an old tradition my uncle used to follow when everything was perfect: bursting into song (or even shouting!) a Luis Mariano song without warning anyone. "Mexico" would have been perfect, but I'd forgotten the lyrics. I'll learn them and definitely be back! Love is a bouquet of violets!

A menu that's always very well executed with quality ingredients. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly. A very popular restaurant in Ciboure, so reservations are essential. I highly recommend it.

A warm welcome.
The presentation of the dishes makes our mouths water.
Attentive service.
The Basque Ttoro (fish soup with mussels and langoustines) 🐟 is as delicious as ever.
And what can I say about the dessert I chose: the Pavlova, recently added to the menu, with strawberries, two creams (one with peas), and a pea and mint ice cream. The meringue was melt-in-your-mouth soft inside. Everything blended together subtly and wonderfully.
In a word: "Absolutely divine."
An explosion of flavors.
It's best to book ahead, as some days it's difficult to get a table.
I give it 10 out of 5 🤣

An incredible experience at Mattin! The dishes are both refined and generous, a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. The welcome is warm and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable.

From the moment you arrive, you know you're in for a treat: Sandrine and her team are cool and welcoming. Inside, it's a truly authentic restaurant, with patina, posters, objects, and decor that tells a story. The menu is lovely, but it was the daily specials that impressed me the most: that's where they really let their creativity shine. The ttoro (their fish soup) is a truly comforting dish, generous, full of flavor, a classic to try and share. The desserts are to die for, especially the all-sheep's cheese dessert (crème brûlée + ice cream/sheep's cheese granita): incredible. The (very extensive!) wine list is solid, and we (often) chose wines from the La Grange Tiphaine estate. Everything is colorful, cheerful, cool, and delicious.
