What a lovely surprise! First, a wonderful welcome. Our dog was immediately given a bowl of water. We opted for the €35 set menu (starter, main course, dessert). Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back. The decor is also very nice and clean. We have returned many times since this review and have never been disappointed. 10/10

Main course + dessert for €30. Ultra-fast service, warm atmosphere, and friendly, smiling staff. We all loved the dishes and desserts. The sweet wine was also excellent.

Absolutely nothing to complain about, everything was perfect! The staff were friendly, the food was absolutely delicious (especially the cream soup!), and the decor and unique atmosphere were fantastic. We highly recommend it.

The best meal I've had in France. Mushrooms snails and egg for starter. Chicken supreme for main course, Mis-cuit chocolate dessert. €35 for 3 Courses. I bought a half bottle of wine for €18. I was given a complimentary digestif at the end.

A traditional restaurant in the historic center of Tours, with a charming retro atmosphere. Delicious, tasty dishes and quality meats. We especially enjoyed the Pluma de Porc and the Brioche façon pain perdu, which were delicious.

05/04/2026: Fifty years of history! We discovered this restaurant by chance last year after an hour of searching. And yes, it's a great place to avoid the touristy area. And above all, the owners are very friendly. You'll recognize us. Last time, we were accompanied by a little monkey who climbed the curtains.
26/03/2026: An institution that never gets old! "A true gem in the Les Halles district. Le Mastroquet has lived up to its reputation as a Tours institution for 50 years. The welcome is particularly warm and the service, provided by an efficient and friendly team of women, is impeccable. As for the atmosphere, we appreciated the table layout, which allows for intimate conversations, as well as the cozy setting adorned with superb watercolors by a local artist. On the plate, the promise of fresh, local ingredients is kept: refined, generous, and flavorful cuisine. Special mention goes to the wine list and the expert advice of the sommelier, who knows his stuff perfectly. Excellent value for money for a gastronomic experience of this caliber. We felt extremely comfortable there!"
