Flunch sur Ollioules

We always receive a very warm welcome at this establishment; it's very clean and well laid out. Today, unfortunately, we happened to arrive with no water fountain or ice available, but these things happen.

Flunch has improved significantly compared to recent years. It's worth going back. You can eat there for €10 with unlimited fries and vegetables, which is a great deal. They've modernized the system: there's no more queuing. A pager lets you wait while seated. So, very good value for money.

We came twice in one week. I've known this Flunch forever, and it had been a very long time since I'd been back. It's a little better, but nothing special. I saw a kind of burger assembled entirely by hand, right by the grill, in front of everyone—not very hygienic. The vegetarian patty was bad; it was like a falafel with peas, cooked in oil—the worst part—greasy and tasteless. A suggestion: offer fried eggs; it's simple but good. The starters are ordinary (the hard-boiled eggs are clearly store-bought), the cheeses are okay (but expensive). My husband's grilled ham was dry and not very generous. The main dishes were nothing special. The crème brûlée was a disappointment (store-bought, practically from a supermarket). The vegetables are hit or miss; the first time was better, yesterday they were very average. Too expensive for what it is. And we felt awful after yesterday's meal, nauseous for hours. In short, we won't be back. 3 stars (2.5 in reality), for the staff and the fairly quiet location.

The food was very good. There was a wait to get the hot meal from the children's menu. The dining room wasn't very clean. The woman was alone; it was clear that even with the best will in the world, she couldn't manage everything.

On Tuesday, three of us adults came. All the vegetables were very good and the veal was delicious. The fish and chips were good, but I pointed to a goldfish and the cook gave me a whitefish, coldly replying, "They're all cooked the same."

Hello everyone. Unfortunately, this restaurant is on the decline. The staff is clearly doing the best they can with the limited resources they're given. The menu isn't displayed properly. Orders aren't kept up (you arrive to get your food, but it's sold out, and they offer you a replacement... €4 cheaper!). It's just not worth it. 🙄 As for the all-you-can-eat vegetables, they still need to restock the buffet. Diners waited 15 minutes for their fries while their food got cold. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time this has happened in several weeks. You know me, now that there's a substantive review, this is my last chance...

Bravo to Valentine, Sylvie, and Mireille for their professionalism!!! More than 30 people at the till, requests coming from all directions: ice cream, crepes, groups, the till, cleaning the dining room, setting up tables for groups, and ALWAYS, ALWAYS a smile. Congratulations, ladies! I'm amazed! Delicious all-you-can-eat dishes. Self-service. Amazing grilled meats. The children's menu always comes with a little toy, which the kids love. The dining room is spacious, and the terrace is brand new. Absolutely fantastic.

Kudos to the staff who remained remarkably calm in the face of a clientele that wasn't exactly the most intelligent in the country, understaffed and with limited resources. It's incredibly courageous to stay until the end of service; much respect to them, whether they were in the kitchen, at reception, or serving. All the best to you, I hope you find another job where you'll be valued more and deservedly so.

I wanted to say a few words to the employees who were there on Monday, April 20th. You faced a particularly difficult service, and I mean that since I myself worked at Flunch in the past. The behavior of some customers was frankly unacceptable: unpleasant, aggressive, and sometimes even insulting. I understand that the limited selection may have been disappointing, but a little common sense and simple observation are all it takes to realize that you were short-staffed and doing your best under challenging circumstances. Despite this, you remained courteous and professional, and that deserves to be highlighted. Your kindness did not go unnoticed. I wish you all the best for the future, and thank you for your efforts.

Unlimited hot vegetables were good. I like your mashed potatoes, and they melt in your mouth. But the ground beef was better 3 or 4 years ago, as were the fries. Finally, I'm disappointed that we can't get crepes in the evening and find it strange because we can get waffles 🤔 P.S.: I really enjoyed the red cabbage in the all-you-can-eat dish, and I like coming to this Flunch, not just for that, but also because I discover new dishes every time.
