What a wonderful discovery this gourmet restaurant is, located in the small village of Guéthary! The service was top-notch, with explanations of each dish, all delivered with a touch of humor. And above all, the plates, from appetizer to main course, were presented with great refinement and were truly of exceptional quality. I highly recommend this restaurant, provided, of course, that you appreciate fine cuisine.

My wife and I went for dinner and it was such a wonderful discovery that we returned the following evening. The dishes were worthy of a Michelin star and the service impeccable. We will definitely be back as soon as we are in Guéthary.

For a price closer to that of a meal at a budget hotel than a traditional restaurant, the quality is simply remarkable. The value for money is hard to fault, as the experience exceeds expectations. From the ambiance and service to the quality of the food, everything is perfectly executed. The welcome is pleasant, the staff attentive without being intrusive, and the ingredients are clearly well-prepared. In short, an excellent restaurant that proves you don't need to spend a fortune to eat very well. I highly recommend it.

Superb cuisine, a feast of discoveries that made you lick your plate clean! The waiter was very attentive and pleasant, and the chef himself served you and explained the dishes. Bravo! There were eight of us, and we left with regrets because we were so surprised by the excellent food. Bravo again, and see you soon!

02/07/2026: A memorable stop at Briketenia, a one-Michelin-star restaurant in the beautiful Basque village of Guéthary, France. Once again, I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating they were. Even though I called only that morning, they happily prepared a vegan tasting menu and found me a table for the afternoon. This was also my first experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant where the service was noticeably slower than expected. It was clear they were dealing with a staff shortage, which extended the dinner by about an hour. These things happen - even at the best restaurants - and the team sincerely apologised at the end of the meal. The cuisine focuses on local, seasonal ingredients, and during my visit it was asparagus and fresh pea season. Both featured prominently throughout the menu, showcasing just how incredible simple, fresh produce can be when treated with care and creativity. The seven-course tasting menu was €134 per person.
13/06/2026: A fantastic spot, facing the Three Crowns and La Rhune mountain. Excellent service and delicious dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. The Basque Country on your plate in a dreamlike setting. So go for it.

07/09/2026: We had a wonderful time! The welcome was perfect, all the staff were smiling and attentive, right down to the thoughtful touch of providing hats for sun protection. The dishes, from the appetizers to the desserts, were delicious, bold, and flavorful. They arrived quickly, even though the terrace was full. The view of the ocean and the surfers is superb! The restrooms were clean and well-maintained: a detail that makes all the difference! In short, flawless. I would gladly return and recommend it without hesitation. After a quick tour of the town, it seemed to me that this was the restaurant in Guéthary to satisfy your taste buds.
