A slight disappointment regarding the reservation date, initially set for August 7th instead of August 6th.
The first carpaccio was good (August 2024).
Today, I ordered another carpaccio, then fish and chips, and a seasonal dessert (Cherry sundae).

Food:
The egg mayonnaise was very generous for the price and delicious, plus the presentation was good. I recommend it.
The 300g rare ribeye steak was good.
The Hippo sauce is a kind of sweetened emulsified egg; order it only if you're sure.
The fries were undercooked.
The profiterole, ice cream, and chocolate sauce were good, but the choux pastry clearly looked defrosted. It's supposed to be dry and crispy, not wet/moist/sticky.
Service:
Could smile more/seem less blasé... but otherwise, it was okay. Be careful not to forget things.
Atmosphere:
Much bigger inside than it looks, with an outdoor terrace and even a patio. Not too noisy, very nice!

I had a wonderful time at the Hippopotamus Steakhouse in Boulogne-Billancourt. The meat was delicious and perfectly cooked. A big thank you to our server, Gloria, who was very welcoming, smiling, and attentive throughout our meal. Her professionalism made our experience even more enjoyable. I will gladly return!
