A real stroke of luck for our cycling group!** We stayed at the Hostellerie Bourguignonne with our cycling group and were absolutely thrilled. After a long day on our bikes, we received an incredibly warm welcome. The rooms are stylish, very clean, and offer exactly the comfort and peace and quiet you need after an active day. The culinary highlight in the evening was also fantastic; the kitchen spoiled us with first-class dishes, and the next morning a generous breakfast with a great selection awaited us, so we were perfectly fueled for the next leg of our journey. For cyclists and anyone who appreciates warm hospitality and excellent food, this place comes highly recommended – we felt completely at ease, would love to come back, and would like to thank the entire team!

I went to dinner with my wife at this restaurant. The meal was decent, but at €240 for two people, it wasn't good value for money. We had three glasses of wine, far from being a grand cru (Côtes du Rhône). There was no choice of wines by the glass. And as is often the case, the food wasn't homemade, but rather (okay) vacuum-packed or frozen dishes from industrial suppliers. I knew this restaurant 20 years ago, and back then, the cuisine was much more upscale than it is today. Unfortunately, good, authentic French cuisine is slowly disappearing.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and had a truly wonderful time. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and above all, very clean, which is essential for us. The room was cozy and tidy, perfect for relaxing after the trip. A highlight is definitely the breakfast: varied, plentiful, and with excellent quality products, perfect for starting the day off right. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Katrin, who was always ready to help. We absolutely recommend this hotel and would gladly return!

Le Caveau De Verdun

10/09/2026: We were three couples at Le Caveau de Verdun and had a truly exceptional evening. The hospitality was wonderful. We especially remember the charming "translation entertainment" for us German-speaking guests. Our host, with his great sense of humor, managed to subtly introduce us to the beautiful French language – delightful and very entertaining! The food was superb: authentic local Burgundy cuisine, absolutely delicious and exactly what we had hoped for on such an evening. And the pitch for the pear brandy was incredibly convincing. A wonderful evening with excellent food, genuine hospitality, and plenty of French charm. This evening will certainly remain a cherished memory for the six of us for a long time. A magnificent evening – thank you so much! And warm regards from Madame Coq au vin! 😂
07/09/2026: The food is excellent; the chef prepared a Coq au Vin and a perfectly roasted pork knuckle. The welcome is very warm! Robert, the owner, offered us a rum and pear digestif that was absolutely divine! I highly recommend it! 5 stars
