Les Trois Maures sur Verdun-Sur-Le-Doubs

12/07/2026: Make a reservation for this delightful experience! 'La Doubs' itself is worth a visit if you're boating the Saone but this restaurant was the highlight of our stop. We were lucky enough to get seated on a Friday evening and had great service (and entertainment!) from Robert and his team. I ordered the Pochouse, which was out of this world. We shared frog legs (excellent) and the crawfish flan (not my fave, but others loved it). Great wine selection and the locally (very local) made whiskey mixes are absolutely worth a try. We regretted not buying a bottle! Thank you Le Caveau team!

11/07/2026: I feel honored and lucky to have docked our boat in Verdun-sur-le-Doubs, otherwise we would have never found Le Caveau! Robert and his staff clearly understand the power of family & food. When you arrive you’re greeted as if you dinning there weekly for years. As you open the menu they share which farms all their meats, cheeses and vegetables are sourced from. The menu is thoughtful, fun and sophisticated and has something for everyone, including vegetarians. The meal was a journey of classic French cooking with some fun twists on modern styles. All four of us could not stop bragging how good our dishes were. Now for the best part of our experience. Robert and his staff make you feel like family, creating laughter, smiles, full bellies and memories. They truly love what they do, and make everyone feel like their home. Merci, Merci, Merci!! Le Caveau is a must visit if you’re in the area!
