We were three couples at Le Caveau de Verdun and had a truly exceptional evening. The hospitality was wonderful. We especially remember the charming "translation entertainment" for us German-speaking guests. Our host, with his great sense of humor, managed to subtly introduce us to the beautiful French language – delightful and very entertaining! The food was superb: authentic local Burgundy cuisine, absolutely delicious and exactly what we had hoped for on such an evening. And the pitch for the pear brandy was incredibly convincing. A wonderful evening with excellent food, genuine hospitality, and plenty of French charm. This evening will certainly remain a cherished memory for the six of us for a long time. The food is excellent; the chef prepared a Coq au Vin and a perfectly roasted pork knuckle. The welcome is very warm! Robert, the owner, offered us a rum and pear digestif that was absolutely divine! I highly recommend it! 5 stars

Fans of "modern" decor and "minimalist" presentations, look elsewhere! Here, it's all about traditional, home-style cooking! Authentic and homemade! Even though I have a good appetite, I struggled to finish... Not that it wasn't delicious, quite the opposite, but the portions are very generous! The waitress and owner are incredibly attentive, without any fuss! A truly wonderful experience!
