The hotel is undergoing renovations, and there's a problem with the hot water; it struggles to reach the rooms and the flow rate is quite low. However, the staff is excellent.

Very, very quiet location 😌 Beautiful view of the castle 😍 The room was decent but a bit lacking in storage space 😢 The menu offers a wide selection of dishes and they are excellent 😋😋 (the vegetable soup is a treat 😋👌🏼).

We came for a weekend and will gladly return. Clean and functional room. Large bathroom, very well appointed, with a 👍 for the integrated heater. Very friendly and responsive welcome. Thank you 🙂

I stayed at this hotel for one night on business (as a bus driver). The staff were friendly and tried to communicate in other languages, like French.

Perfect. A good point: the presence of a grab bar in the shower. These certainly prevent falls, especially for people with reduced mobility and disabled people. A quick comment on the permanent outdoor lighting. Installing LED motion-sensing floodlights would save energy and improve safety by deterring prowlers.

Very pleasant stay. We had a wonderful time, and the meal was very good. Breakfast was plentiful, and a real treat. Efficient, friendly staff.

02/01/2026: Bistro in the center of Saumur. An unpretentious place, like a neighborhood bar, serving traditional home-style cooking. The duck parmentier and the croque monsieur were delicious. The portions are very generous. The manager was very friendly and did her best to communicate with us even though we don't speak French. The food took a little while to arrive, but that was perfectly reasonable considering she was in charge of the bar, the tables, the kitchen… Good value for money.
13/12/2025: A place where you're guaranteed a great time! The food is delicious and plentiful. As for the atmosphere, I think Google should give it a few more stars. A big thank you to Chantal and her regulars for a lovely evening! Warmest regards from Perpignan… 😉

23/11/2025: A wonderful experience at Auberge Saint Pierre! The food was delicious, the service attentive, and the atmosphere truly delightful. And the icing on the cake: an adorable cat that wanders peacefully through the dining room and comes to cuddle, which completely won my heart. A place where you feel comfortable and want to return. I highly recommend it! 😺🧡
