Not bad, but it's not what it used to be. It's still nice and unpretentious, but it no longer offers a set menu (which used to be a spectacular offering). The real problem, then, is the kitchen staff. When my wife and I ate there recently, she ordered duck and I ordered the duck+beef duo...and we were both given only beef. I even heard the waiter place the order correctly, so I guess the problem is with the kitchen.

I had duck breast at Hugo for the first time 6 years ago and it was very delicious. This time I came to Paris to dine again. The taste was of the same standard, the price was high, and the service was very considerate! Especially recommend the duck breast, it’s really delicious! ! I will definitely come again!

This small restaurant was outstanding. Not only was the food excellent but the chef was prepared to adapt the menu for us. We had double quantities of the prawn and scallop main dish as a shared starter and one of the mini desserts on the Café Gourmand was changed to include the lemon dessert. The waiter was very friendly, efficient and helpful and gave us a lot of interesting information about the history of the restaurant. The wine and also the dessert wine were most enjoyable. We will definitely return next time we are in Paris.

Love this place — it’s charming and unpretentious with the sort of menu I like. I first came here in 2018 and it lifted my spirits. Then this trip I was staying nearby and wanted to return for the escargot and the pâté. Brought my friend for a birthday dinner, and the staff made the delicious dessert extra special with the candle. Highly recommend if you like less trendy place with great food and a timeless atmosphere.

Small restaurant in the center of Paris with few seats, soft lights and very welcoming. Very kind and friendly owner, offers good quality dishes and wine. Very intimate environment. Good prices as usual Dinner for two 40 euros each including drinks. I highly recommend.

The restaurant is at the far northern end of the 9th arrondissement just off of Rue Lafayette. It is a small, intimate restaurant of about 20 seats. I had a filet Mignon which came with a fois gras gravy which was excellent. My wife had a wonderful seafood dish. Service was very attentive and nicely timed. YOu didn't feel rushed nor waiting. Though not in the heart of the tourist area, there were mostly anglophones there the night we went. There was american blues playing at a very acceptable level throughout the evening. Hugo presented us with an excellent meal, reasonably priced in a very pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

01/04/2024: Superb! We made two reservations as we had a group of eight, and they accommodated us in sitting altogether. Food was delicious. What we ordered: escargot, crayfish tails, foie gras (order the one that comes with boiled potatoes), mushrooms, onion soup, veal breast, beef pastrami, chicken and the chateaubriand – everything was perfectly cooked with amazing flavor. Wine suggestions were also perfect in pairing with the meal. Service was efficient and they ensured we were well taken care of. Bread was refilled as needed, as were beverages. Takes cards. Make that reservation, it will be worth it.

20/03/2024: Exceptional restaurant. There were 4 of us, and all used to Michelin-starred restaurants: we think it was an extraordinary dinner, without doubt deserving 3 Michelin stars. In fact, only the setting, beautiful but a little dated, can explain the current "one star" . And that’s good, the restaurant will be completely redone for September, our hostess told me (but it remains open until then). Concerning cooking, we are far from wandering like Top Chef: here it is the product which is the center of attention, and not the ego of the cook. Despite a discreet but real sophistication, we are not in disguise and overkill. The result is that, for example, my lamb was stunning, and I weigh my words. Believe it or not, it’s a meal that I won’t forget, like before it at Guy Savoy or Chez Bruno in Lorgues, in a more rustic style. Perfect service, precise, warm, and not intrusive. Allow around 300 euros per person.
