La Barbacane sur Carcassonne

A superb evening in a dream setting. The restaurant is ideally located in the historic city with the magnificent ramparts as a backdrop. We had a flawless meal from start to finish. Impeccable service with attentive staff, present but discreet. Each dish more tempting than the last. The only thing to improve is the exterior signage of the restaurant, we did not immediately understand that it was located in the city hotel.

Always a wonderful experience, each time I visit Carcassonne I make sure to book in for lunch. This time I treated myself to dinner, which was as expected, magical dining.

There were 5 ladies having lunch together and we all enjoyed every moment of it. As always we had the best service and a delicious lunch menu. We had a few special requests which were handled immediately. Well done

A very good experience. I really liked the place, the view and the impeccable service from the waiters and their manager. The dishes were simple and good. We priced the lunch menu on the occasion of a birthday. Thanks to the professionalism of the teams, the event took place without the slightest problem. I would just have one detail to improve, and that is the outfit of the receptionists who had their disheveled tops.

We slept at the Hôtel de la Cité and initially the hotel told us in an email exchange that the restaurant was full and that we would not be able to eat there during our stay. But when we arrived a lady from the restaurant told us that this was not the case and that we would be welcome. We were doubtful, the logistics seemed chaotic before we even started and we learned that the restaurant had just lost its star. Finally, my wife being pregnant, we still chose to eat at the Barbican because it would be easier. And where to start? Everything was amazing! A perfect marriage of tastes and textures. From the quantity on the plates, and then the service... Hats off to the gentleman who told us he had only arrived two weeks before, but congratulations to the whole team it was truly faultless. Don't be afraid, you can go there with your eyes closed. 3 weeks before we did another Michelin star in Marseille where we live and the Barbican was clearly a rank above. In short, congratulations again to everyone, if we come back to the area we will not fail to stop at your place!

L'endroit est bien évidemment merveilleux dans cette salle a manger somptueuse. On vous accueille merveilleusement bien et votre diner nous laissera rempli de satisfaction. Des produits frais ,parfois simples mais merveilleusement sublimés, de belles textures, des cuissons parfaites, un gros travail en cuisine pour assouvir nos papilles. Du pur bonheur.

Nous avons choisi le menu du midi et nous n'avons pas été déçu : beau cadre, super rapport qualité/prix, assiettes soignées, service impeccable, bref je recommande !

We began at the bars with an apéritif. Bar service was a bit slow, but once we were served the menu was presented with a lovely appetizer. The menu was perfect. Each course was delicious and the service was excellent. Reasonable price for a delightful lunch.
