They organized my 30th birthday meal in this restaurant. Everything was truly perfect for this special day; the food, the service, the wine and above all the view of the city walls! The person who chose this place had the most beautiful idea to mark the occasion to celebrate the first 30 years of a life 😍. Highly recommend if you are looking to have lunch or have a family event!

Nice restaurant with one Michelin star. Located at the hotel right in the Carcassonne castle. If you want to mark your trip on a beautiful note, then this place is perfect.

I came here for a special occasion following a recommendation, and I wasn't disappointed. We had the lunch menu; my partner started with a warm goat's cheese salad in some sort of crispy shell, and I had the green bean and mackerel salad. We both had the steak, then the chocolate macaron with coconut marshmallow. Every bite was sublime, an experience. Everything was cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and served with excellent local wines. I'd like to especially mention the staff, who were attentive and friendly, without being overbearing (and who complimented me on my French!). The whole lunch was around 2 hours and we never felt rushed, or that things were too slow. The only way it could have been better would have been to be on the terrace, but the weather wasn't cooperating.

Excellent moment. Le service est agréable et efficace. Les explications sont claires et détaillées. Les mets sont goûteux et les associations judicieuses. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir pour les prochaines vacances scolaires ( Avril) !

03/07/2024: An unassuming entrance takes you down stairs to a cellar restaurant. Resist the temptation to run away at the slightly 70s decor. Your perseverance will be amply rewarded. Sit down and enjoy. I loved that the chef personally comes to your table to take your order. Others sort the drinks and do the deliveries to the table. But the chef wants to understand exactly your preferences. We had mussels with razor clams; the fish soup (don’t miss out on this) and then to follow: monkfish wrapped in prosciutto and sole. All cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. The house wine is worth a try and they have a pretty good cellar of bottled choices.
18/06/2024: Acueil tres sympathique, patron convivial et à l’écoute du client, plats de poissons variés et surtout excellents, cuisson parfaite, fraîcheur assurée et prix somme toute raisonnables. Nous recommandons ce restaurant sans reserve, même si vu de l’extérieur il faut un peu se forcer.

29/06/2024: This is an unexpected delight in the heart of the medieval city of Carcassonne. We made last minute reservations and relied on the very kind staff for recommendations on plats, wine, and dessert. They didn’t steer us wrong. The cassoulet is exceptional. The wine recommendation was perfect with the plats we ordered. And, dessert was delightful. I would return to Carcassonne for this dining experience - it was truly delightful from start to finish.
27/06/2024: Our visit to this restaurant was the icing on the cake to this magical walled city. We walked along the cobbled streets on a damp, drizzly evening which naturally added to the atmosphere of this fairy-tale town. We were welcomed to the restaurant where the service continued to be exemplary throughout the evening. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helped advise in wine choices. The restaurant was fairly busy for a wet Thursday night but you felt you had the whole place to yourself such was the layout of tables. The food was amazing from the first bite to the last! The lobster was divine, the sea-bass melted but the highlight of the meal was the dark chocolate sphere. What a delight and a spectacle to end the meal. The chocolate sauce carefully poured over the perfectly formed chocolate sphere containing biscuit, cream and cherries. The visual sensory spectacle continued into the eating of the dessert It was wonderful! Thank you to the staff for their hospitality and warm welcome.
