A week later, we're still thinking about La Dame au Chapeau! We were blown away!
Madame, Isabelle: you inspired us so much! Continuous service, getting up at 5 or 6 a.m. every morning to set up, working both in the kitchen and the dining room, all by yourself… it's quite simple: not only did you amaze us, but you made us want to learn from you! We work in completely different professional fields, and yet the passion you put into your work inspires us to do the same in our own! We have incredible memories of our meeting with you! Even beyond the meal, which was excellent.
To everyone: we highly recommend this restaurant! We walked past it on our way out of the gondola lift the day before and decided we wanted to have dinner there. I called to make a reservation but I got the wrong restaurant when I looked it up on Google. No matter, after dinner at the restaurant just downstairs, we went back to Isabelle's/La Belle Rencontre to make a reservation at the right place this time, for the following evening!
The 12-spice fondue is incredible, excellent, and it's a close call between this fondue and the lemon-basil tart!
We can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful evening at La Belle Rencontre in Châtel! 🥰
The Savoyard fondue was simply excellent, a real treat!
But what truly made our evening special was Isabelle, an absolutely fantastic woman—welcoming, warm, and someone you can talk to about anything.
A truly beautiful moment, a great atmosphere, and an encounter we won't soon forget. ❤️
We Alsatians will be back with great pleasure next year!!!

Isa is absolutely incredible! A radiant person with boundless energy. We were welcomed with open arms into this magnificent restaurant, while all the other restaurants in Châtel were either no longer serving food or only offering very limited menus.
And what can I say about the food… absolutely incredible! Homemade, local, high-quality products, and above all, food prepared with heart. ❤️
Isa runs her restaurant single-handedly, with a passion and energy that truly deserve recognition. Congratulations to her!
The wine list is also incredible, with simply unbeatable prices. 🍷
Thank you again for this wonderful Saturday afternoon spent with my two friends. It was a real pleasure and a superb experience.
We're already looking forward to returning! A must-try in Châtel.

A truly wonderful experience! 😁 We were warmly welcomed, and the "lady in the hat" clearly puts her passion into her dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from beginning to end: delicious, generous, and very hearty portions. You can tell everything is prepared with love and passion, and it shows in every bite.
A huge congratulations on this remarkable work and flavorful cuisine! We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place!
