To our great surprise 😃
In a setting reminiscent of a fisherman's hut, with fish-based dishes that transported us to another world 🤩, we made the surprising discovery of a dessert featuring Camembert cheese—quite unexpected! 🤩 Each dish has its own story; it's all part of the experience.

We visited La Boete in Saint-Jean-de-Luz and loved the experience. It's a nautical bistro right in the city center, with a very special atmosphere where the Atlantic is present in everything, even the details of the place.
We tried several dishes to share, and they were all excellent: haddock tartare, house-made foie gras, tuna ham with hummus, herring tartare with beetroot and capers, and a truly delicious fish and chips with homemade tartar sauce.
For dessert, we ordered their crème brûlée "their way," with pineapple at the base. It's a different take on the classic, interesting and well-executed.
If you're in Saint-Jean-de-Luz and enjoy good food, this is a highly recommended stop. Good ingredients, excellent preparation, and a lovely atmosphere.
