Nice ambiance and good service. Menu choice was good but food was disappointing. Starters were good but main courses were far from perfect. Fish and chips were awful - the fish was burnt and overcooked. The chips weren’t crispy or tasty. Were they reheated? Pasta bolognaise was ok but would have been much better served with tagliatelle or spaghetti rather than the shell pasta. Pity because it’s a nice place.

March 28, 2026: It had been years since we'd been back to this iconic Saumur establishment... But what a pleasant surprise! 🤩 We received a very professional and warm welcome in a dining room with modern and elegant decor, with impeccable service throughout the meal. And what can we say about the dishes we enjoyed (smelt platter to share, beef stew, braised ham hock, tarte Tatin, and Dame Blanche)... A true delight. 😋 Congratulations to the whole team, keep up the good work! We highly recommend it, especially since this restaurant is located just a 5-minute walk from the Casino. See you very soon.

We had an excellent lunch! My husband ordered the cognac foie gras as an entree, I ordered the bone marrow - both were exceptional. Followed by the duck breast in a sublime sauce. For dessert, the crème brûlée, browned perfectly, was rich and creamy. The staff are always welcoming, and as locals, we especially appreciate the fact that they are open on Sundays.

Excellent brasserie, open on a Monday no less, as many in the area are closed. We received a warm welcome, the daily special was very good, the prices more than reasonable, the service very friendly and pleasant, and pets are welcome – a real plus! ➕️ ➕️ ➕️

Family lunch on a Sunday. Beautiful setting, very clean premises, impeccable service, delicious and refined dishes. There are few quality restaurants in Saumur. Don't miss this one, I highly recommend it.
