Ignore the reviews - people who expect the world and get a local and tasty meal. Waiters & waitress’ were lovely, and the food is nice. It won’t change your life but it will sort you out. We ate, played cards and had a few beers. Don’t really know what more you could want

Ignore the reviews. Food is nice, staff is lovely. Yeah if you come in summer of course it’s busy, they weren’t rude they’re just busy. They did their best, have some humility.

I'm very surprised by the reviews... We had lunch here on our way to our holiday destination and we ate very well! The setting is charming, the food is simple yet well-prepared, and the staff are friendly and welcoming!
A truly lovely way to end our holiday.

We stopped at this restaurant for lunch.
The lady behind the counter was very nice, as was the waiter who served us. Unfortunately, we found the dishes we chose expensive for the small portions.
We ordered appetizers. They were appetizers, we agree, but €18 for just salad, gizzards, and a cabécou cheese... No onions, nothing! I found it very meager.
The setting is pleasant with the terrace by the water and the little ducks. It's peaceful.

Stopped for a coffee, waitress and owner unpleasant. If you don't want to/can't communicate with the customer, you shouldn't work in a restaurant.

Today was a relaxing day in Brantôme, and I discovered this little restaurant... Lunch break by the water with a peaceful and relaxing view... A very warm welcome and respectful, kind service... A very good meal from start to finish and good value for money...

We arrived as a group of three friends with one large dog and one small one…
The waitress greeted us with exceptional warmth, a joke, and a bowl of water for the dogs. We enjoyed our meal in a cheerful atmosphere… we chatted with the owner, we talked with the waitress… in short: This meal was a delightful experience!
The restaurant staff is welcoming and friendly: we will definitely be back!

The waiter seemed a bit lost, perhaps he's a new employee. The food is good, the dishes are elegant, the wait is quite reasonable, and the setting is nice, especially the dog swimming in the water – a welcome distraction during a delicious meal. Thank you for this exceptional and very pleasant experience. I think I forgot to mention the desserts, but I didn't order any.
