We were so surprised by this restaurant. When we travel we try to avoid the “tourist “ restaurants on the main road. This was amazing. We got the Rachlette and loved it! The service was fantastic and prices very fair. We highly recommend!!

We came for lunch today as a couple. The setting is pleasant, the food is good, and the staff is very welcoming. However, during our meal, someone who seemed to be the manager rather aggressively reprimanded a young waitress about wearing a simple piercing. While every establishment may have its own dress code and rules, it seems extremely inappropriate to behave this way with employees during service, especially when customers are seated nearby and can hear everything. The situation is not only humiliating for her but also awkward for the other customers. This waitress happened to be the one who seated us. We found her welcoming, smiling, and very professional in her presentation of the dishes, menus, and everything else. We came to have a good time, and this waitress contributed greatly to that. However, we will not be returning because of the behavior of her manager, which made us feel very uncomfortable. We hadn't noticed her piercing. We had, however, noticed the quality of her work. What a shame...

Passing through Chamonix for a bivouac at Lac Brévent, what better way to stop on the way back down than at La Calèche! An excellent local restaurant, the flavors were incredible and the service impeccable. Thank you to Lucia for her smile and recommendations! 🫕🫶🏻

I came to celebrate my 75th birthday on June 23rd. We were served a bottle of champagne, a bottle of white wine, fondue, etc., with no special attention given to the bill, which was €164 for two. Once I paid, I checked it, and there was a difference, as I had been charged for Swiss fondue! The receptionist intervened and told me she thought we had been served that! How could she say such a thing! After checking, we were indeed reimbursed! From then on, the atmosphere deteriorated! So, check your bills!

This was one of the most memorable dinners of my trip to Chamonix. I visited alone, but I never felt uncomfortable or out of place. The staff were genuinely kind and made every guest feel welcome and at ease. A special thank you to Lucia and Manon, whose warmth, kindness, and hospitality made the evening even more memorable. I ordered the Savoyard Fondue Complète with a glass of Apremont. The food was excellent, but what truly stood out was the atmosphere. The warm lighting and beautiful wood-toned interior made the entire evening feel cozy and comforting. I had been eating rather lightly throughout my trip, but here I was completely defeated by the fondue — and I mean that as the highest compliment. It was one of the most satisfying meals I've had in a long time. Even after I thought I couldn't eat another bite, I somehow managed to finish the Coupe 4810 for dessert. Together with the warmth of the food, this restaurant became one of those rare places that will always remind me of my travels. Great food, great wine, wonderful people, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay just a little longer. I came for the fondue and wine, but I left with a memory. If I return to Chamonix, I will definitely come back.

A beautiful restaurant with lovely Savoyard decor, an unusual place with simple yet delicious dishes. I ordered a Béarnaise ribeye steak with gratin, which was excellent. My wife ordered the beef tartare; you can immediately see it's hand-cut, the seasoning is perfect, and the fries are excellent. The waitress, Malou (Marie-Lou), was excellent—polite, pleasant, and always smiling. Thank you for this wonderful experience!
