La Calèche sur Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

We had dinner there last Saturday. The service was excellent, their fondue was delicious and very generous. It's just a little pricey.

Absolutely incredible Savoyard cuisine, definitely could have eaten here again and again. Great drink selection too, especially the myrtille blue Brasserie de Mont Blanc beer. Very cool interior packed with rustic local antique items.

visited 22 sep 26. excellent service and local cuisine. we walked in and sat at the front (entrance nook). there was a smell but it was of years of meat cooking on a hot plate grill, which sort of infuses into the interior. it wasnt unpleasant at all. we ordered a formula, one extra main, and a dessert. melon gazpacho 3.5/5, toast with seared pancetta and goat cheese cream 5/5, osso bucco (veal stew with polenta) 4.5/5, dish of the day (grilled veal with cream and mash) 5/5, profiteroles 5/5, choc cake with orange sorbet 4.5/5. glass of red and white. absolutely pleasant experience without the noise of the deep interior. staff serving the front was also delightful and pleasant. she kept our tables clean and was patient when we ordered in English and let us decide later which dessert in the formula we wanted.

Really unique atmosphere inside , worth to book for this, also friendly professional service. Though the food to price value isn't the best, even though it's chamonix and everything expensive, can find much better quality for price at other spots so keep in mind

Honestly if you can get a table you have to go here and have the fondue 🫕. It was incredible and for those of you non wine drinkers they do beers too. It was a company outing so i can't comment on the cost of it but we had the upper floor and really liked it.. I would have taken a spoon and eaten the pan of fondue if i didn't have to wake up early 🙃.

Excellent wedding anniversary evening! Thank you to Romain for his warm welcome and kindness. We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious "fondue complète," accompanied by a very good bottle of Roussette wine. Typical decor, warm mountain atmosphere… Flawless, we were delighted! See you again this winter 😉

Very charming place, the fondue was very good, but a minor complaint about the bread which was really hard.
