We loved every moment of the experience! The decorations inside are super cozy. Make sure you order the “complete” fondue, but come hungry! We also had a lovely tomato and stracciatella salad that was a special of the day. The pictures speak for themselves - definitely plan a dinner here!

From the reservation to our arrival and dinner, everything was perfect! A warm welcome and professionalism; we had a wonderful dinner. Everything was delicious. We had a lovely time. Thank you to the entire team at La Calèche, and we look forward to returning… we highly recommend it; excellent value for money.

The staff are very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They are very accommodating to picky eaters. Fondue is, of course, a must.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly wonderful restaurant in the heart of Chamonix, which we wholeheartedly recommend. We had a fantastic time at La Calèche. The dishes were simply delicious. The cuisine was generous, flavorful, and perfectly executed, with carefully prepared mountain specialties. Each plate was substantial, bursting with flavor, and showcased high-quality ingredients. The setting is magnificent, warm, and authentic. The typical Savoyard decor fully contributes to the experience and gives the restaurant a lot of charm. You immediately feel at ease. The staff is welcoming, smiling, and attentive despite the lively atmosphere. We did have to wait a little while to be served, but this seemed perfectly understandable given the restaurant's popularity and the large number of tables. It's better to wait a few extra minutes and enjoy carefully prepared dishes than the other way around. In the end, this slight wait is quickly forgotten after the first bite. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful time. If you're passing through Chamonix and would like to discover a true institution of Savoyard cuisine in a friendly atmosphere, don't hesitate: this place more than lives up to its reputation. We'll gladly be back!

22/06/2026: Pros - Friendly, efficient English-speaking staff - Views from the rooms and spa were incredible - Excellent range of options at the breakfast buffet and opened at 06.30 so eat then get out for the day early - Able to use facilities of hotel on day of checkout. We were kindly allowed to use the spa and hotel showers on the afternoon after we had checked out at no additional cost. This meant we were able to run all day and freshen up before heading to the airport. A really nice touch as meant you could maximise time in Chamonix rather than wait for flight home. - Toiletries in the room were good quality (not overstocked so environmental friendly) and able to ask for items free if charge from reception - Great location close to town centre and short walk to bus stops/train station Cons - Mattress was very firm so found it quite uncomfortable (personal preference though) - No aircon: stayed in June and the room was uncomfortably hot to sleep and the road outside was a bit too noisy to leave the windows open overnight to cool things down. It was exceptionally hot weather however so likely a very occasional issue. - Limited hooks in the bedroom for coats etc - Drinks in the hotel bar were expensive - EUR12 for a 1664 Krongenbourg beer. Despite a few small cons, this hotel was absolutely fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
