Really nice evening at Matafan! Great service, good attention to detail and very nice food. My only recommendation would be that if you take the risotto, don't take any entrance and consider not taking desert either. The risotto is amazing but extremely rich (as expected). Would for sure go back next time we are in Chamonix!

We love this restaurant - every winter stay in Chamonix we dine there - because everything is done to ensure that we have a very pleasant time: the room is beautiful and warm, the tables sufficiently spaced apart, the attentive service, and the very careful cuisine , a great pleasure for the taste buds. The only downside this time is the glasses of champagne charged at 25 Euros EACH. There we have the feeling of being taken for imbeciles. In similar establishments, the price is more honest. Bitter note on a tasty whole, too bad.

I went to this restaurant last June and it was the most memorable restaurant. Perfect atmosphere and taste at a reasonable price. If I visit Chamonix, I will definitely go here again.

Have been here both in summer and winter and matafan never fails to delight! The menu du jour is always a great steal for under 40 euros with starter form the kitchen and petite fours too. Service is excellent and decor is modern inside - make sure you reserve

Très bon moment passé avec ma femme dans votre établissement. Nous avons été très bien accueillis, avec de bons conseils du sommelier. Je recommande vivement.

01/04/2024: Excellent little hotel for great value. Great location near Grand montets and bus stop into chamonix. Lovely service and let us leave our ski gear in their lockers before check in and after check out. Great restaurant underneath as well.

31/03/2024: We went to the sweet madness of Chamonix for the closing of the 2023-2024 season and we loved it. The dishes were good and refined. Top service and a great atmosphere. No waiting, no pressure. Thanks to the manager and his team for this great evening. We will definitely come back

Our meal would not have been the same without our server Paul who, through his energy, his professionalism and his concern to give us a unique moment, means that we will remember this magnificent meal for a very long time!
