One of my favourite places in Chinon. Great wine served with a smile by the knowledgeable owner. Perfect setting in the nicest street in this lovely town and with a great view of the Chateau. Cheese and charcuterie platters are the perfect accompaniment. A very special place.

A wonderful experience at this "wine bar." Even the dog got a drink! ☺️ We came to sample the wines and left with some great discoveries. I highly recommend it.

We have nothing but praise for La Cave Voltaire, which we discovered by chance during a stroll through Chinon: a very friendly welcome, excellent food and wines by the glass, all at a reasonable price... and the owner's good humor is included! Well done!

Florian gave us a wonderful welcome; he knows his wines and perfectly understands his customers' tastes. The Chinon red we bought was a delightful discovery. What a pleasant place to enjoy a beer or local wines with a cheese and/or charcuterie board. Definitely worth stopping by and returning to!

27/07/2026: A truly wonderful restaurant that we wholeheartedly recommend! The bistronomic cuisine is refined and perfectly executed. The menus offer excellent value for money. The service is friendly and efficient. The beautiful building adds a great deal of charm to the place, and the terrace is a real asset for enjoying a meal in the summer in a very pleasant setting.

26/07/2026: We came to eat with my partner. Impeccable service, very professional waiters. Delicious food. I ordered a Bo Bun salad and my partner had a saddle of lamb. We have rarely eaten such well-prepared dishes and such perfectly cooked meat. For dessert, the tiramisu was also excellent, not too heavy. The cocktail was also excellent. We highly recommend it and will definitely return if we are ever in Chinon again.

The products are fresh and high-quality, and we particularly appreciate that they come from local Chinon businesses. The value for money is excellent.
