Carbonnade with dried meat, rather average

A warm and friendly place... but the service was a bit too fast... I'd barely ordered my aperitif before the main course arrived at the table. For my part, I had the "mussels with Maroilles cheese and fries" tonight, and frankly, they weren't great. I had better two days earlier in Toulon. And as for the fries, the specialty of the North, let's not even go there. Frozen, mass-produced. Nothing very exciting. What saved the evening was the warm welcome and friendliness of the waiters. Everything else needs a complete overhaul. I'm used to traveling a lot and eating out and staying in hotels, so I enjoy discovering new places. I saw on Facebook the report about dumping two tons of mussels in front of the prefecture to make their voices heard, but if they were as good as the ones served, then it wouldn't be a loss for the restaurant, I think. A real shame. Lille is often described as a welcoming city, but I'm not going to have fond memories of it.

Excellent restaurant/brasserie, warm welcome, top-notch and fast service with a touch of humor. The food is superb as well; the ribeye steak was delicious with fries comparable to those from traditional chip shops in the North. Christophe is a very good waiter; you'll want to be his friend. Definitely worth trying, and a regular once you've experienced it.

How can they possibly manage? It's a disaster. Despite the waitress's efforts, they made a mistake with a dish served after the other diners had finished their meals. Nothing is going right at this establishment. The bill needs checking; I don't plan on going back.

Very warm welcome, not many people, excellent sauerkraut, top service, staff a little tired after the end-of-year period, and one odd thing: the aprons of the waiters and waitresses are all very dirty.
