A fantastic restaurant! With very friendly and accommodating service. We arrived as a group of 10 without a reservation, and there were no problems at all; we even came back the following evening. Local experts at a reasonable price.

The wait at the entrance was a bit long, but afterwards the service was pleasant, the waiter was friendly, and the typical Lille dishes were delicious. A must-try when you're in Lille.

Onion soup: sent back because it was too salty! Inedible! Prawn croquettes were rather bland. Friendly but overwhelmed waiters, even on a Monday night... The Welsh rarebit was average, the carbonnade was quite good. The main courses arrived more than an hour after we sent back the soups.

06/03/2026: I've always loved this place; it's a very pleasant spot. I adore the concept and its commitment, and I've been coming for years. Unfortunately, on my last few visits, I was particularly disappointed by the welcome I received from one person whose attitude was very unpleasant. I can certainly understand and empathize with people experiencing stress or heavy workloads (we've all been there), but that should never be an excuse to speak rudely to someone. I don't usually like to leave negative reviews, but I find this truly regrettable.
