A very old institution with extraordinary Art Deco period decor. On the other hand, it should be noted that it is very expensive and not necessarily up to par in terms of quality-price, but it is more of a Parisian atmosphere that we are looking for.

First time in Paris and the only thing my dad almost ordered me to do was to go to La Coupole. I usually don't doubt what he advises me; After this experience I'm sure I'll never do it again. The Couple demonstrates the special, the magical that can be inside a dining experience that is simply out of this world. Because, beyond the kitchen, there is also the sensations you feel from the first moment you walk through the doors. That is, the feeling of welcome that, for example, I felt when I saw the restaurant full of families, each served by a quick and elegant waiter. Or when it's time to sit down and have an excellently set table in front of me. Also to be mentioned and congratulated is the excellent service given by our waitress Yari, who has not only worked there for more than twenty years but continues to do so with skill and a fantastic attitude. So, although the ambiance and service are perfect, the shock of amazement finally comes in that first bite. Oh mama! We ordered the oyster tasting platter, the onion soup, the scallops with pumpkin puree (to die for) and, to finish, the profiteroles. One after the other, a mixture of complex and varied but above all delicious flavours. From the combination of scallops, pumpkin and pickles to the softness of profiteroles combined with the warmth of chocolate and the coolness of ice cream; I assure you, you won't even want to drink water for fear of fading the flavors. A marvel, yes, but there was only one complaint: the waiting time between the starter and the first course. No more than twenty minutes must pass after finishing the starter because otherwise you will lose your appetite and, if it goes beyond that, even the emotion and desire to continue eating. In short, you have to stop at La Coupole when you are in Paris. In case you want to bring it to your family, I assure you that you will make them truly happy.
