La Cour Du Théatre sur Martigues

During a business trip to Martigues, I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant. The decor is tasteful and doesn't try to hide the weakness of the cuisine. The menu is perfect; the sea bream, cooked to perfection, is wonderfully accompanied by seasonal vegetables—turnips, carrots, and leeks—on a bed of squid ink rice—a true delight, perfectly balanced with its saffron sauce. Thank you for this meal; keep it up, I will return.

If you're looking for a good restaurant in a quiet location, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Martigues, I recommend La Cour du Théâtre. Even outside, you'll be far from the noise, passing cars, and other disturbances; the inner courtyard is very pleasant and relaxing. Although we hadn't made a reservation this time, we still enjoyed a lovely evening. The food is of good quality; I've never been disappointed. The dishes are always well-presented and generous. Thank you to the staff, who were very discreet and friendly. As you leave, I suggest you take a stroll along the quays, right in front of you, to help with digestion if you've indulged a little more than usual—especially if you had a starter, main course, and dessert. Fast service with staff who were attentive, discreet, and responsive. Regarding the quality of the meal, there wasn't a single flaw: we ordered the Cours du Théâtre salad and the foie gras mille-feuille, linguine with bottarga, and monkfish medallions. The appetizers and main courses were generous, and the cooking was perfectly executed. The dishes were refined, flawlessly prepared, and beautifully presented. We were blown away by the dessert: a clementine and yuzu entremet on a Breton shortbread base—excellent! Highly recommended.
