We had an incredible experience with a group of 6 people. It was more than just a dinner, it was an experience we will never forget. We’ll definitely be back soon.

After visiting the citadel, we went here for lunch on our last day of vacation, a Saturday. It was pure relaxation and enjoyment: the ambiance, the friendliness of the owners, and of course, the food! You could taste the quality of the regional products and the love that went into cooking. The owner selected delicious wines from his own vineyard to accompany each course and told us about them in a very entertaining way. The chef, Madame, cooked calmly and serenely, always with a friendly smile. We were completely satisfied, thank you so much!

We went to eat at this restaurant yesterday, and I let them know at the last minute that I don't eat meat or fish. Despite the restaurant being full and the difficulty of adapting a dish so quickly, the person in the kitchen prepared an excellent couscous with vegetables for me. I happily stuffed myself, and we had a wonderful evening, full of laughter and shouts :). A huge thank you again for your special and unique welcome!

Eating at La Cuisine was more than just about the food, which was rich and delicious especially when perfectly paired with a set of lovely wines from the owner's family vineyard. Eating here was about the experience — we learned about the owner's family history, how he ended up at Givet, and were enraptured by story after story of his travels, adventures, and the people he met along the way including his talented wife who cooked for us with care. I would highly recommend stopping here for a long lunch or dinner and prepare not only for a feast for the stomach but for the soul.

It was a truly memorable dining experience! Each dish was beautifully crafted, with unique flavours and delicate textures, such as the savoury panna cotta with shrimps and chilli flakes. We also tried several fantastic wines and learned a lot about different grape varieties from Eric, the owner. Without a doubt, it's a place we'd like to return to.

We had a delicious meal at this small restaurant. And to accompany that delicious, no-nonsense food, there were wonderful wines from their own estate. The same goes for the asparagus and truffle, though you do have to visit at the right time of year... Extensive explanations regarding the wine were provided by the equally excellent staff, who, by the way, handle their English perfectly well too. I can only recommend this lovely restaurant. If we are in the area, we will definitely be back!

This Sunday, March 15th, We had dinner at a traditional restaurant where you immediately feel like you're at your grandparents' house. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with antique tableware and slow-cooked dishes reminiscent of classic French cuisine. Everything was absolutely delicious, prepared with seasonal ingredients and great care. You can really taste the homemade quality. A big thank you to the owner, who cooks alone with tremendous courage, and to the manager, who provides service with humor and good cheer. We had a very convivial time, filled with laughter. My husband, our friends, and I were delighted by this wonderful discovery. We will definitely be back.
