Review of "Le Langoustin" – Visit of August 15, 2026 I had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant "Le Langoustin," and it was a most enjoyable experience. I chose the €45 menu, which met my expectations with every course. The freshness of the ingredients and the quality of the flavors were exceptional, creating a refined and memorable culinary experience. The restaurant's greatest strength undoubtedly lies in its responsive service. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly, ensuring that each customer feels welcomed and well taken care of. A very warm welcome and, above all, delicious food. We went back a second time because we enjoyed it so much. The Chartres team.

Everything is very good, the service is excellent, the dining room is noisy but that's normal for this time of year! Reservations are highly recommended. We just have one comment: I called to make a reservation, specifically asking if they were taking reservations, as many restaurants don't during peak season. Here's the response: "Yes, madam! You must make a reservation, we're a real restaurant!" he said rather curtly. We had a reservation for 7:30 pm, and it was 7:15 pm when we arrived. This was his comment: "Great if all the customers arrive at 7:30 pm for a 7:30 pm reservation!!" Again, he said curtly (we didn't arrive at 6:00 pm either). I think it was the same gentleman who handled the reservation and greeted us. It's a shame; these kinds of remarks can be off-putting, as they don't create a good atmosphere for future visits.

Perfect, from the welcome to the food!

Fantastic accessibility for people with reduced mobility; the staff are incredibly attentive. We personally ordered two set menus at €45 each (which might seem expensive, but the ingredients are fresh and high-quality—foie gras for my wife and eight oysters for me). The starter was excellent, and the waiter regularly checked on us and wasn't at all stuffy, which was very relaxing. This was followed by a small piece of beef, a magnificent seafood sauerkraut, very good desserts, and a small coffee. Furthermore, we were the last customers, and no one rushed us, which was very pleasant. In short, we've been frequenting Avenue de la Forêt for 16 years, and Lagoustin is by far the best. Go there; it's really worth it.
