A welcome at the top. Nothing to complain about the cuisine; the promise was kept! Excellent advice for choosing regional wine. In 4 words: not to be missed!

Excellent, nothing to say, good pairings. Excellent flavors. Traditional cuisine but in the good sense of the word. .. perfectly mastered cooking of fish... in short, an excellent place to absolutely do in Fontevraud.....thank you.....reservation required

Very nice home. Very good meal. We took the menu. We were very well served with lots of attention. We were passing through and if we come back we will come back.

Nous avons dîné dans ce restaurant il y a quelques semaines et y avons été particulièrement bien reçus. La cuisine et les vins étaient délicieux. Je vous recommande vivement de vous y arrêter si vous passez à Fontevraud !

Gerichte und das Anrichten derselben bestenfalls befriedigt. Musik gewöhnungsbedürftig, sonstiges Ambiente toll. Wenn man von der Höllenmachine Handtrockner absieht.

Très bon mais portions très insuffisantes (filet de bœuf et légumes, l’aumônière de langoustines et légumes et encore plus le fromage correspondant à de l’amuse bouche.Rapport qualité prix décevant

Cuisine super (menu week-end abordable). Le serveur charmant... mais alors... l'accueil par le nouvelle gérante (?), pas aimable du tout! Pressante, à peine arrivés, nous met la carte entre les mains, ne nous propose pas le menu du week-end, sauf sous forme d'ordre ("c'est pour tout le monde ou pour personne"). Description des vins très sommaire. Attitude très deplaisante. Le moment de l'addition fut épique. Dommage. Elle a failli nous mettre de mauvaise humeur alors que tout était très bien. Merci au chef et au serveur.

Fontevraud le restaurant

24/03/2024: While passing through the abbey hotel, we spent a very lovely evening at the restaurant: Unique experience where we ate side by side on our (work) table like two monks studying facing the cloister. Unique menu, pleasant service, two dishes that stood out to us: the signature dish Champignon à la fontevraud (a delight!) and the apple chestnut sage dessert...
24/03/2024: Cuisine of great finesse and very inspired. Really well done to the chef.. On the other hand, service (or kitchen?) is too long: + 3 hours even though we arrived at 12:15 p.m. (in accordance with our reservation to be able to do visits in the afternoon). Finally disappointment with the wines in the “emotion tasting menu” (best wine menu). Slightly flat wines, always a note of acidity. On the paleron, a wine with more fruit would have been better. Emotion about the wines is not there.

12/12/2023: An elegant, old country estate, picturesquely located, with exquisite cuisine, excellent, calm service and a historical flair. I would love to come back!!!
27/11/2023: We appreciated the cuisine as much as the discreet and attentive welcome, as well as the setting. Thank you again for the very pleasant evening we spent, accompanied by very good advice on some well-chosen local vintages that we were able to taste. I hope we'll come back to see you for a themed dinner - the Russian evening sounds really nice!
