Excellent restaurant! The service, the atmosphere, the location, the food, everything was perfect 🥰

We were lucky enough to have a table of 6 people with a child at lunchtime when all the other restaurants had refused us, as luck would have it! A team of exemplary professionalism, choice dishes, incredible value for money, go for it with your eyes closed!

We arrived 10 minutes late and they didn't hesitate to tell us. Then I had a starter and the cheese and more thought (you realize that it's not much) I do not recommend

PERFECT ! Colette and Yann delighted us for our wedding on 08/31/24. The service was fabulous, we are delighted beyond our expectations :) very good interpersonal skills, outstanding organization, delicious food, magnificent decor in keeping with the theme of our wedding. Our guests fell in love with the cuisine and the place, they are already planning to return to eat there. Thanks again.

Excellent ! A refined and sophisticated cuisine. Traditional cuisine with good taste and substantial dishes! Finally some real Cuisine! And we are really full when we leave the restaurant! Staff available and at the top. Relaxing, bucolic and very pleasant environment. Definitely worth a stop!

Well regarded restaurant located close to Brantome just off the by- pass. Signage could be better but there is ample parking outside this quite rural spot. It's rather an intriguing stroll from the main gate as all the action is at the back of the property so not a lot initially appears to be going on. Nonetheless, we received a very warm welcome and were then led into the attractive garden and seated at a table opposite a shrine to all things late-20th century kitsch - which we liked a lot. No menu here, so the very enthused owner recited everything perfectly in the language of his guests. This, of course, gets repeated, several times during the evening as he wanders around settling in the new arrivals. Not surprisingly, all the dishes sound absolutely fabulous so there is probably a level of over- expectation. We were lured into sharing an artisan salad which, fortunately, had a meat-based bias and whetted our appetite for the next course. Based on the size, probably should have had one each though. I quite liked my main course of thin slices beef on a foie gras sauce with some limp fries and a bit of lettuce. I'd say cooked more medium rare than medium as requested though. Mrs EPR's home-made burger looked the part but quickly fell apart to resemble a small heap of rough mince; more egg required as a binding agent. Desserts are selected when ordering the other courses. I had a not very oozy chocolate fondant, and Mrs EPR had some rather interesting biscuit styled profiteroles. Plenty of wine options but only one carafe choice which was actually perfectly fine. Beforehand, we had tried to book on line twice without success, and then emailed subsequently thereafter. Still no reply so I took to the phone where the patron was most patient and helpful to ensure our reservation. Despite the interesting blips, we liked the place, and its ambience, and there was quite the opposite of any sniffiness from the staff despite its reputation.

Quelle belle surprise que cette recrée ! Un cadre superbe, un accueil souriant et attentionné, des produits frais et bien cuisinés bref c’est bon et à un prix raisonnable. Bref une belle soirée et un bon repas. N’hésitez pas à vous y arrêter (en réservant avant).
