Excellent restaurant, superb food, everyone is very professional and friendly. The setting is wonderful. A lovely touch with little "Happy Birthday" confetti for my husband's birthday and a discreet little candle on his dessert. We can't wait to come back and try the beautiful terrace.

A beautiful, truly relaxing setting, with lovely decor in a semi-historic building. A warm and professional team introduced us to menus that were all equally tempting. It was so good that it made us want to come back and try everything else! It's a shame we live a bit far away…

A superb spot for a gourmet meal and delicious local flavors! The setting is magnificent, both the interior and exterior spaces, promising wonderful summer moments... The cuisine is equally indulgent with its Périgord touches. The service is impeccable and warm! A great find!

We have been to La Recre Gourmande many times since 2012 either for lunch or dinner, with family, friends or just the two of us and none of us have ever been disappointed. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful old building, with wooden beams and exposed stone walls. For the summer there is also a tastefully designed open, covered outdoor dining terrace. Food is freshly prepared. The owner explains the menu which is on a board and takes your orders. Very friendly staff and excellent service. The food is well presented and cooked, tasty and seasoned with a several options for each course. The restaurant is situated in calm, tranquil grounds just on the outskirts of Brantome. They also have 3 gites, which can accommodate 2-4 guests. Plenty of parking.

A wonderful experience for us. The setting and the building are magnificent. We had a family meal and came all the way from Cognac. We were welcomed with such genuine warmth and kindness that it was truly heartwarming. We'll definitely be back! We highly recommend it. Thank you again for this lovely time.

Generous portions, superb presentation, our taste buds danced with the blend of flavors (and what about the prawns on the crispy waffle with sushi rice? A magnificent place well worth the detour in the hills above Brantôme! A cozy haven where sensory pleasure awaits! Refined cuisine featuring local produce prepared with innovation and modern flair! I've had the pleasure of visiting several times and have been delighted each season! I encourage you to discover the work of this couple. A wonderful experience at this restaurant, which we had visited before. The setting is still as beautiful and pleasant as ever; you really feel at home there. As for the food, the flavor is always there! Special mention goes to the shredded beef with its foie gras sauce… absolutely divine. A generous and perfectly executed dish. The staff is also top-notch: smiling, professional, and attentive throughout the meal. However, there was one (major) drawback: the prices, which we found relatively high. Almost €26 for a rump steak, and especially €11.80 for a pint of Grimbergen… I've never seen anything like it. In the current climate where we're more mindful of our spending, some prices are bound to raise a few eyebrows. Nevertheless, it remains a very good restaurant, with consistent quality and an atmosphere that's well worth a visit.
