La Reserve sur Amboise

Good restaurant in Amboise. Friendly staff. We enjoyed this short stop!

We had a wonderful time at La Réserve. The chicken fillet with mushroom sauce from the daily special was perfectly prepared: tender, flavorful, and delicious. The banana dessert with its crispy crust was original and excellent—a delightful discovery. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and very professional. The restaurant is also impeccably clean, which is particularly appreciated. The dining room is elegant, with comfortable furniture that invites relaxation. We ate very well and had a lovely time. We will gladly return!

Dinner was enjoyed on the terrace with my husband and our two sons, aged 7 and 3. The location is excellent, opposite the castle, and pleasant on a pedestrian street from midday onwards. My children were even able to play safely on the other side of the street while remaining under our supervision. As for the food, my husband had a very good andouillette sausage, and I had the signature Réserve salad, which was exquisite and generous. The children's menus were a little light on fries for my taste, but everything is homemade, and they especially enjoyed it, particularly my eldest. It's worth noting that the service was quick. Be sure to arrive early if you haven't made a reservation! The staff is friendly, and I highly recommend it!
