La Table du Lavoir sur Martillac

Les repas ont été excellent tout au long du sejour, des produits frais, du bon pain, un personnel adorable qui se démène tout au long du service et un sommelier incroyable et passionnant merci Damien pour tous nos échanges :)

If the full-hog Michelin perfection of La Grande Vigne is not you (or your wallet!) then the hotel's second restaurant, La Table du Lavoir, is an excellent choice. We ate here for my OH's birthday and w/he was not disappointed. We'd asked for a terrace table for the occassion - the weather didn't oblige but we still had a lovely position by the window. The food was uniformly good and beautifully presented and the service professional yet friendly, as it should be. We did feel the mark-up on the Smith-Haut-lafitte bottles of wine was a little sharp for what are effectively house-wines - 3x is standard in London but rarer in France - nevertheless the overall list was very well judged and we were more than replete when the chef sent out a birthday plate of typically-local cakes. We will definitely make a detour to eat here again when in the area.

Great place, very nice to eat there. The service is top notch and the quality of the dishes is there. A very nice address outside Bordeaux.

Beautiful place, very warm welcome and service. The only downside is little choice on the menu.

Lots of waiting between dishes, lack of tracking of orders. Very basic products for the price. Holey tablecloth.

Very good time with the family, despite the rain which did not allow us to walk in the heart of the vineyards and near the estate's castle. Superb cuisine, delicious wines, very welcoming staff, the opportunity to enjoy together in the heart of the Smith Haut Laffitte estate. To discover, the "Rouge", a wine bistro for summer days.
