La Vie en Rose sur Eauze

We just left this restaurant where we had a wonderful meal. The food was perfect, the duck breast incredible. The manager and her employee go out of their way to take care of their customers. However, we were very uncomfortable witnessing the chef's repeated outbursts from the kitchen. He was yelling aggressively at his wife and employee, who nevertheless maintained a polite smile. I would have loved to see the look on this man's face, radiating so much violence and aggression…

Unbeatable value for money. We opted for the €18 set menu, which included a quarter-liter of wine, a starter, a main course, and dessert. The starter was a salad with three different terrines, the main course a pork chop with mushrooms and vegetables, and the dessert a delicious Tropezienne tart. Efficient service, a terrace overlooking the street but not noisy. It's hard to find better.

A must-visit in Eauze for enjoying authentic, flavorful, and typical cuisine. The restaurant is ideally located in the heart of the town center, just steps from Place d'Armagnac and the magnificent Saint-Luperc Cathedral. Enjoy a pleasant setting, a warm welcome, a convivial atmosphere, and impeccable service provided by the charming owner, who is always attentive and offers excellent advice, particularly regarding wine pairings. The dining room is air-conditioned, and in good weather, you can dine outside on the shaded terrace next to the peaceful Place de la République, opposite the Archaeological Museum and near a pretty fountain whose gentle murmur is a delight. The menu offers a lovely selection of dishes and enticing set menus, as well as excellent wines at reasonable prices. The chef is clearly in a class of his own. He offers a fully mastered, refined, flavorful, vibrant, and sunny French and Gascon gastronomic cuisine, showcasing the best of local produce. The freshness and quality of the products are impeccable. Here, everything is handled by the Chef, everything is homemade! The cooking, the flavors, the seasoning, the proportions, the presentation—everything is perfect. Each dish is a feast for the eyes and a delight for the taste buds. Everything is done to ensure the utmost customer satisfaction; you can smell it, see it, and taste it. Bravo to this couple who have cultivated and shared their passion for so long with such enthusiasm, much to our delight!

We had a lovely romantic getaway in this typical Gers setting. The regional cuisine was beautifully prepared with care: homemade duck confit and local desserts flavored with Armagnac. The service was excellent: smiles, sharing stories about the history of the place and the specialties... and even a little something extra for my birthday. We highly recommend it!
