La Vieille Assiette sur Lille

A delight ! Very warm welcome in an estaminet setting. Divine Flemish stew and equally excellent American fillet. Served generously and quickly. Room a bit small and noisy when there are people, but it's difficult to push the walls :-) We've been here several times already and it's our favorite restaurant. You can go there with your eyes closed. Remember to book!

La Vieille Assiette is exactly everything an estaminet should be. The dishes are really excellent (we tasted the welsh, the chti burger, the carbonnade, the Marengo veal, the pork cheek) and were unanimously appreciated by the table. The welcome and service are friendly and pleasant, and the decor is typical without being "too much". We feel really good: at home if we come from the region, and welcomed if we discover it. We leave in a good mood and with a full stomach. Thank you, we will come back, for sure! Edit: We've come back plenty of times and we'll come back again.

Perfect ! Very warm welcome, delicious carbonnade, generous portions. We feel comfortable and the decor is friendly. Price more than fair, I recommend Ps: in the evening there is room to park and that’s cool

Friendly and family atmosphere. I personally tasted the Flemish carbonnade... it was a real delight, thank you. Remember to book. The space is small and can fill up quickly :)

Endroit charmant et cozy, de passage à Lille voir une amie, je lui avait demander de manger un bon welsh, elle a donc décidé de m’emmener à la Vieille Assiette. Déçu de celui ci, servit avec du pain de mie (?!?) au lieu de la tranche de pain de campagne comme toutes les recettes l’indique. Je me suis vraiment senti berné pour le coup .. Point positif, les frittes étaient vraiment bonnes et bien cuite

La cuisine comme chez Mamie!!! Les frites au gras de boeuf, la serveuse vraiment sympa !!

Un vrai estaminet et la garantie d'un super moment: Réservation pour une table de 12 personnes un samedi soir pour un anniversaire. Accueil et ambiance qui mettent à l'honneur le sens de l'hospitalité de la région, le tout accompagné d'une excellente cuisine: je n'ai pas souvenir d'avoir déjà mangé une aussi bonne carbonnade flamande ailleurs.
