A good address and very warm welcome, beautiful plates and very good food except for my pike-perch fillet which was a piece on the tail, a little disappointing.

Passing through the region, we had dinner at La Vieille Auberge. The cuisine was traditional, generous, and authentic. We received a warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere was cozy, with a fireplace and a cheese trolley that was well worth a visit. We would gladly return if the opportunity arises.

Excellent place! The food is delicious, the cheese platter is incredible. Very good value for money. And the owner is always available to answer our questions about wines, cheeses, etc. We had a very pleasant time!

Very good little restaurant, a little dated but with a tempting menu. The portions are decent. The dishes are well-cooked. The beef fillet with morel sauce is impeccable. A good, recommended stopover.

Where can you eat well in Saulieu in the evening? We (an elderly couple with a dog) went to the restaurant La Vieille Auberge. Simple decor, room for the dog. Menu offerings were displayed on the blackboard set up for us. For both of us, salad as a starter was excellent. My wife's beef was very good, while for me, seafood was completely satisfying. The highlight for me: the chocolate fondant and crème anglaise was extremely delicious! We would eat there again!

21/03/2026: Tonight we ate at Café Parisien, a place worth stopping at. The food is excellent, the service is fast, and the owners are very friendly. Definitely worth a visit, especially for a first time – a very, very good impression.
06/03/2026: A traditional brasserie in the center of Saulieu where you can enjoy a meal for around €16. The food is good, the portions are generous, and the service is friendly. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

21/04/2026: Magnificent residence. We received a very warm welcome. The staff is truly attentive. The room with a view of the park... The spa... Everything was absolutely top-notch. I highly recommend this establishment. Unfortunately, we were unable to dine at the restaurant as they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. However, we were able to dine at Brasserie Loiseau, and everything was delicious with impeccable service.
18/04/2026: It was pure bliss! From the very first day we walked through the door, warmly welcomed by Hugo, then Hez took excellent care of us and brought us a refreshing drink, much appreciated after the long journey we had just made. A truly delightful stay that tantalized our taste buds! The gourmet meal was served with exquisite care by such pleasant staff! And the refined breakfast served by Coralia was simply delightful. Everyone was so attentive, and it makes us want to return very, very soon. Thank you so much!! Mrs. Pingrenon
