The Flemish carbonnade lacked flavor. The rest was okay. Sometimes good, sometimes less so.

I came with my family on December 23, 2025, on the recommendation of my brother who had reserved a table for six. The welcome was superb, even though the restaurant was busy. The waiter even kindly offered to bring us another chair if needed, as we weren't sure if someone else would arrive.
With two separate rooms inside—one at the entrance and the other further back where we were seated—and a very specific atmosphere reminiscent of the traditional pubs of Northern France that we love, the space wasn't cramped and we could easily hear each other.
Now, let's talk about the food. What can I say except that we thoroughly enjoyed the traditional dishes of Northern France, so well prepared. My father-in-law and his daughter, who came from the Périgord region, discovered specialties like Flemish carbonnade and Welsh rarebit, and they loved these dishes, which were still relatively new to them. I plan to return to this Flemish carbonnade, which was our favorite and a true delight, especially with the idea of making it with gingerbread and brown sugar, combining sweet and savory flavors. The only issue I could point out was that there was a bit too much salt on the fries for my taste, but again, that's not really representative, as I myself don't usually add salt to my food. That said, these traditional Belgian fries were absolutely delicious.
In any case, I wholeheartedly recommend this excellent restaurant; I can't wait to go back!
