This was the friendliest restaurant during our holiday in Montalivet; we even went twice! The service is excellent (even when there's a minor hiccup, it's handled with a light touch and good humor—the owner will know us! 🤣). Finally, the meals are very pleasing to the eye and to the palate, unpretentious yet full of flavor, and above all, not too salty. Thank you 🙏

The seared tuna was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying mashed potatoes were delicious. The foie gras burger was excellent. The service was quick and attentive. We were pleasantly surprised when we booked dinner at this restaurant! The prices are reasonable for the quality offered. Highly recommended.

A sunny Sunday lunchtime on a lovely shaded terrace. We chose the tuna steak, cooked perfectly, with mashed potatoes, which were delicious. We also had the Italian-style beef tartare with basil and Parmesan, which was excellent, along with homemade fries and salad. Thank you for this relaxing time! I highly recommend it.

Regulars, but disappointed. We've been coming here for years, and while the prices haven't changed since last year, the portions aren't the same. On the menu, they offer a duck breast for €24.50, but at that price, it's not even a whole one, and the sauce is very unusual… The burger would be very good with sauce, but unfortunately, there wasn't any. Homemade fries are a big plus, but they're very (even too) salty. The children's menu is fine, with homemade nuggets. We're disappointed because we come several times a year and have always been delighted, but this time, much less so.

Le Papagayo

13/09/2026: A very pleasant atmosphere; we dined inside as it was a bit chilly. The chicken tagine with preserved lemon was delicious and generous, as was the merguez couscous. The service was very good, considering the terrace was packed and the decor was really lovely. We had a brief visit from the owner, a charming gentleman, followed by a very friendly chef. We will gladly return; it's a great place.
31/08/2026: Unfortunately, a disappointment. The staff was quickly overwhelmed – they expected to take drink and food orders within one minute of handing out the menus. The owner is very friendly, but it's no use if the pizza is advertised with the wrong ingredients. Merguez is not chorizo. Overall, a well-intentioned 3 out of 5.

12/09/2026: One of the best restaurants in the area!
22/08/2026: What a fantastic discovery tonight at this restaurant in Montalivet! Unbeatable value for money, a good selection of dishes, and both quality and quantity on the plate...plus top-notch service from Titouan...I'll definitely be back!
