20/07/2026: The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were almost too attentive at times, which sometimes made me feel a little uncomfortable, as if I were being watched a lot during the meal.
The manager, on the other hand, seemed less welcoming, which somewhat detracted from the experience.
The meal was decent, but some elements didn't seem very fresh. The biscuits served with the ice cream looked a bit stale, the mashed potatoes tasted more like store-bought than homemade, and the fish was slightly overcooked.
I did, however, appreciate that they agreed to adapt the dish to my request. Overall, I found the prices a bit high and the restaurant a little overrated considering the quality of the food.
18/07/2026: Excellent cuisine, refined and delicate, a feast for both the palate and the eyes. Impeccable service and attentive, friendly staff. Very reasonable prices considering the quality. We look forward to our next stay in Montalivet to return.

28/06/2026: We were a group of 10. The welcome was warm, the service impeccable, and the overall atmosphere delightful, enhanced by the cheerfulness and smiles of the two ladies serving us.
The dishes we chose from the €32 set menu were a true delight. We all had a wonderful time enjoying ourselves and relaxing at this restaurant, which we highly recommend.

15/07/2026: The place is still pleasant. The downside is the price and the portion size. We ordered scoops that were more like half-scoops than proper scoops of ice cream. I think that for the price charged, it might be better to properly train your staff to better serve your passing customers. We also wanted to order Italian ice cream, which wasn't available on July 15th. I find this disappointing, especially during the peak summer season. Don't boast about the quality of your products, as we've tried other products nearby that were of better quality and much more reasonably priced.

21/07/2026: The food was unfortunately below expectations. Portions were small and far too expensive for what it is. Not recommended for the food. The service was very friendly though, nice place, cool atmosphere.
21/07/2026: This bad review is solely for the food: my apologies, but that steak was just embarrassingly small, and the fries were soggy. Expensive for what it is, though! Really a bit of a tourist trap. Improve the portions and the quality, because the prices are already high enough!

Everything is well thought out, and there's no other restaurant in Montalivet that can compare. Even the coffee prices are quite reasonable compared to others. 22/03/2026: I just learned that this place has reopened, which for me was much more than just a bar, betting shop, or restaurant. It was a meeting place, authentic, friendly, and open to everyone all year round in an area where other establishments are unfortunately often closed. The traditional cuisine was truly excellent and inexpensive. Without any airs, the place operated the same way in winter as in summer, which bothered some people who need extra attention to be paid to their hospitality.
A big thank you and best of luck to Duduche and his team. We've lost a place that was part of this town's identity.

A €20 starter/main course menu is okay, but don't expect haute cuisine. It's simple and bland.

Les differentes sauces égaies les papilles. La fraîcheur des produits, tout nous a permis de passer un bon moment.
