The L’Alliance restaurant in Amboise, slightly out of the way, offers truly excellent, flavorful, and well-prepared cuisine that is definitely worth the detour. The service is adequate, if not exceptional, and the somewhat underwhelming setting doesn't quite do justice to the quality of the food. A great place to eat well, despite an atmosphere that could be improved.

Excellent cuisine, with real attention paid to allergens. Quick and friendly service. The restaurant is unfortunately not very busy, but we had a very pleasant evening and our taste buds were delighted.

02/03/2026: Located very close to the Château, we chose this restaurant for a quiet evening and we weren't disappointed. We had a very good meal. We ordered the duck breast and chocolate profiteroles for dessert; it was really delicious and well-prepared. The service was friendly and welcoming. We also appreciated how quiet the restaurant was, perfect for a relaxed conversation without any background noise. A great place to eat in Amboise. Remember to book ahead to be sure of getting a table.
