Casual spot right outside Amboise Castle. Attentive service, and all of our food was outstanding. Our party of six did not have a reservation but we were seated at 7 and experienced no difficulties. Mixed drinks were good, wine and beer selection were decent and the food was really well done. Standouts were the chimmichurri burger, mallard (duck) French fries were light in color but incredibly crispy. If you are seeking a salad the Caesar with chicken was chock full of wonderful chicken.

Friendly welcome, English menu available and good choice of reasonably priced meals. I had the burger with goats cheese which was very tasty (17euro). Olives were brought to the table with our beers. We went for a late lunch on a Sunday (around 2pm) & no need to book - although suspect in peak season you would as it was still busy on a wet June day! Great dessert which was a coffee with 4 mini desserts for 8euro.

20/09/2024: Just opposite Clos Lucé, a very small and very pleasant terrace where light and delicious meals are kindly served. It's calm, good, relaxing.
