L'Archestrate sur Saint-Dizier

As much as I loved my first experience two years ago, this one was a complete disappointment. Perhaps I made a poor menu choice. The salmon and avocado tartare appetizer was very bland and lacked seasoning. The tuna and vegetable main course was so salty that my neighbors finished it instead. The strawberry dessert was good. But the worst part, I think, was the virgin mojito, served without mint, lemon, or cane sugar. In short, a clear liquid that looked more like a mixture of lemonade and mojito syrup. When you don't have all the ingredients in the kitchen, you don't serve it to customers. You really need to improve your seasonings and your aperitif and cocktail menu. A real disappointment for me. I dare say my impression could have been better if I had chosen different menu items.

PERFECT, the food is very good, the meat is of high quality and the atmosphere is impeccable.

A good place to eat. The dishes are beautifully presented and the flavors are spot on. The pesto-stuffed chicken was good, although a little more pesto would have enhanced it. The service is generally adequate. The young waiter makes a few minor mistakes, which is to be expected, but in a restaurant of this caliber, slightly more rigorous supervision would be appreciated. For example, we only received the carafe of water halfway through our meal. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience remains positive.

We had a wonderful culinary experience. Special mention goes to the halibut steak with asparagus and the pollack with Champagne sausage. Very daring combinations that paid off. Top-notch.
