L'Avalanche sur Saint-Jean-D'Aulps

Great place! The atmosphere was amazing. I believe Mark is the owner. He and his staff were really wonderful. They were on top of everything. Very friendly people. You felt very at home. Everyone talked to everyone. There were a lot of regulars there. A mix of English and French. The music was great. Chris Kern played that night and the whole place was hopping. Everyone was singing and dancing and having a great time. Beware of the steep steps to the bathroom. They are ancient and original to the building and really cool!

A huge thank you to Mark and Greg for their kindness and hospitality throughout our week-long holiday. A truly fantastic bar with a great atmosphere. Looking forward to next year!
