Fantastic restaurant inside the Cité de Carcassonne. Great food, friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere. The authentic cassoulet was rich, hearty, and delicious, and the bone marrow was excellent too. Dancing and music starts at 10 pm. Highly recommended!

We wandered into the old city and immediately discovered that half of Europe had received the same invitation. Medieval streets are undeniably charming, although they were apparently designed centuries before the invention of prams, selfie sticks and people who stop dead in the middle of the road because a pigeon looked photogenic. After an hour of weaving, sidestepping and occasionally questioning humanity, we stumbled upon this bar. Bliss. A tiny oasis of calm floating in a sea of determined tourists. Ice-cold beers appeared almost instantly, restoring both morale and the will to continue sightseeing. Judging by the setup, this place probably transforms into a lively spot in the evening with a DJ, music and people pretending they don’t have sore feet from marching across cobblestones all day. We didn’t try the food, so I can’t comment on that. But if they serve their meals with the same efficiency as they serve cold beer, they’re already halfway to earning a medal. 🍻

The place is beautiful, the service is fine, however the glasses, we couldn't see clearly through them, they weren't clean at all, out of the 6 glasses only one was clean.

The setting was really nice, as were the staff. The restaurant menu was varied. We had a great time. The evening continued with a DJ. 👍

The mini cassoulet wasn't good. However, the ribeye steak was good. It's a shame half of it arrived cold. The service was pleasant and the atmosphere very friendly.

A bar with a truly pleasant atmosphere, I highly recommend it. An excellent place in every way. A huge thank you to our waiter Sahel, who was absolutely fantastic: very professional, warm, and always smiling. I wish the entire establishment a wonderful season. See you soon!

07/08/2026: A truly exceptional experience, this dinner in a verdant setting near the Canal du Midi, with remarkable quality of food: a superb duck breast cooked to perfection – kudos to the grill! – and a delicious rum baba. We were warmly welcomed and served with a level of service that is becoming increasingly rare these days. I highly recommend you discover this unique restaurant, as we did!
05/08/2026: A superb location, the food was very good, but we were a table of 14 on a Sunday at lunchtime. You have to ask for everything: water, bread, etc. Dessert plates are cleared even though we haven't finished. The bill arrives without us having asked for it: over €600. We ordered four coffees, and they immediately took the old bill and brought the one with the coffees. We paid and ordered after-dinner drinks (three rounds). The wait for the coffees and after-dinner drinks was insane while the staff did the math and tapped away on the tablet. Everything was fine except the service, which needs improvement. It's worth noting that there's a guinguette (open-air café) on Sunday afternoons. It was packed, so we weren't the last ones there. A shame...

28/06/2026: Please like and follow. ​Mixed experience inside the citadel. 🏰 We stopped at Le Marcou in the main square. The beers were cold, the service was courteous, and the cassoulet was absolutely excellent! The meat pasta was a large portion and tasty, but nothing special. ​Unfortunately, we found a slug in one of our salads. The server kindly replaced it with a good cheese plate. However, when the bill arrived, they had charged us for the uneaten salad anyway. They did refund us €20 after we pointed it out, but it felt like a sneaky habit of trying to overcharge tourists. ​Check your salad and definitely double-check your bill! . We stopped at Le Marcou on the main square. The beers were cold, the service courteous, and the cassoulet was excellent! The meat pasta (bolognese) was plentiful and good, but nothing more. Unfortunately, we found a slug in one of our salads. The waiter kindly offered to replace it, and we opted for a cheese plate instead. The real problem arose when the bill arrived: we were still charged for the uneaten salad. They eventually refunded us €20 after we complained, but it certainly seemed like a bad habit to overcharge tourists. Inspect your salad and double-check your bill.
18/06/2026: Had lunch here 😋 had the royal cassoulet amazing, but very filling..staff were polite and helpful , would definitely recommend
