Lovely restaurant, lots of old-fashioned charm, very pleasant and helpful staff, meals are all served at the same time, I didn't give 5 stars because in terms of flavors, I specify, in my opinion, it could be better and the quantities too.

For a whole month, I went there purely for scientific reasons, of course 🤫 and I can confirm that their piña coladas are simply exceptional. I highly recommend them! As for the food, it's exactly what I'm looking for: flavorful, expertly prepared dishes, and above all, a smiling and energetic team. You can tell they love what they do, and that makes all the difference.
And I want to make one thing clear: it's me who refuses the bottled water... it's not an oversight on their part, it's a deliberate choice. Alternative hydration only, otherwise I get sore!
An address I recommend without hesitation!

The food and service were excellent, however the toilets were disgusting (yellow urine-stained seat, sticky floor, black sink sealant, etc.) and remember to dust the overhead lights which could be cleaned at least once a month!

The classic steak-frites, a symbol of simple and generous French cuisine, is on the menu today, along with dessert and coffee.
But Le Bistrot de Carcassonne offers much more: varied menus, fresh seafood, and a fine selection of drinks.
It's the perfect place to rediscover the warmth of a welcome and the generosity of the portions.
Simple, friendly, straightforward... a true piece of French tradition. A 5-star rating would be justified by its excellent value for money, especially in a tourist town out of season and on a rainy day.
LE BISTROT, I repeat, is a must-visit in the city, very close to the train station and the Canal du Midi. Will I come back?

Restaurant in the center of Carcassonne. Convenient to the train station. Excellent value, among the best in the area. Good service overall. Generous portions of mussels and fries.
Only negative: the screen outside the restaurant offers unlimited mussels for €9.90, which isn't listed on the paper menu inside. We only noticed it on the way out.
Excellent and generous desserts!
Recommended!
