Le Bistro des Cocottes sur Beaune

A very good experience at this restaurant. The menu is small but high-quality, everything is homemade. Mike and Florence served us perfectly. We would definitely go back for another visit.

Dinner for two this evening, with a reservation, our feedback: Excellent food, service that was absolutely top-notch: good advice, precise and tactful sales pitch, attentive and proactive: bread and water replenished without us even having to ask. However, we did experience a few short waits this evening.

A fine bistro where you can enjoy a good meal. The food was indeed absolutely fine. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired, which meant we didn't really feel welcome. We had to wait about 15 minutes before our first drink order was taken and then had to ask ourselves where it was. Water was forgotten, as was the second wine. We had to chase after the third wine ourselves as well. At the same time, I don't entirely blame the host. He seemed to be practically serving the entire place by himself. He was certainly not unfriendly, but due to the busyness and his rushed attitude, there was little sense of hospitality and many mistakes were made. Meanwhile, the owner (I suspect) was walking around, but seemed to contribute little to the service. In short: the food is fine, but there is still plenty of room for improvement in terms of service and hospitality.

A very good place to recommend. Shaded terrace on a very quiet square. It's a pleasure to be here. We recommend it especially considering the very reasonable prices.

A very good address in Beaune. The cuisine is quite traditional, varied and very good.

I'm not often disappointed, but that was the case here. The welcome was bordering on rude because we were 15 minutes late (the route to Vannes is far from an exact science, though). From the terrace, there was no view of the otherwise beautiful square because of the very cheap fencing surrounding it. The dishes were as basic and classic as could be. The young man who served us definitely saved the overall experience. Well done to him for his work!

After reading several reviews, we managed to book a table at the last minute this afternoon at this bistro. The lady was kind enough to find us a small table on the terrace. We had booked for 7:00 pm. The waiter, who was incredibly kind, even let us choose our table. He was the perfect example of someone passionate about their work. What followed was a delightful and convivial evening, with excellent food and very good drinks. We will definitely be back!

Not to be missed if you are in Beaune! Super friendly service and fantastically delicious food! My congratulations to the chef!
