Le Bistrot sur Fougeres

First, book a table. We were lucky that there was a table available for us as the restaurant filled up quickly. We had three courses and they were all delicious (the crumble to finish was so refreshing). The wine was an interesting Chenin from South Africa and was better than we expected it to be (someone had made the effort to include this on the wine list). Service was excellent and the waitress worked very hard all night, up and down those steps to the first floor, commendable! She informed us right at the beginning that she only spoke French (we personally do not expect anyone to speak English when in France) but was very patient with us as we stumbled through the menu. Recommended, but make a reservation so you're not disappointed.

A must-try. The dishes are prepared with meticulous care. The molten egg is an absolute must-try. A moment of pure delight. Like everything else.

Once again, we returned to Fougères and without hesitation went back to the bistro. I highly recommend it. Always so pleasant, delighted with our choice, the food is still excellent, as is the service. P.S. to the chef: the tongue with mashed potatoes today was delicious, congratulations again! A warm welcome, an incredible egg-based starter to share (a chef's specialty), dishes that awaken the taste buds... we don't regret stopping by. Thank you to the chef for this delicious meal and to the waitress for her kindness. We will gladly return when we are in the area.

I sincerely recommend it… Everything is homemade… top quality! The chef and waitress are incredibly welcoming… The flavors and quality are exceptional. The menu clearly shows that the products are local. And judging by the taste, I can confirm it… bravo! 👏
